Photorefractive detection of antiparallel ferroelectric domains in BaTiO 3 and BaTiO 3 :Co crystals
Applied Physics A: Materials Science & Processing, 1998An all-optical method involving one coherent beam of light and based on photorefractive wave mixing is used to reveal antiparallel ferroelectric domains in one pure, and two cobalt-doped, barium titanate crystals (BaTiO 3 ). Rod-shaped domains with square cross sections are revealed.

Fabrication of BaTiO3–Carbon Nanocomposite and Porous BaTiO3
Crystal Growth & Design, 2011A novel nanocomposite was fabricated by introducing BaTiO3 into mesoporous carbon CMK-3 with hexagonal porous structure and pore size around 3.4 nm. Nanosized BaTiO3 crystallites were fully dispersed and confined in the channels of CMK-3. This is the first combination of conventional ferroelectrics with newly developed mesoporous carbon materials ...

Ferromechanical phenomena in ferroelectric BaTiO3and BaTiO3crystals
Ferroelectrics, 1994Abstract Experimental results have been analyzed on studies of elastoplastic deformation and fracture that occur in ferroelectric crystals of the BaTiO3, type indented by the Vickers pyramid.

(PVDF/BaTiO/sub 3/) and (PP/BaTiO/sub 3/) films for energy storage capacitors
Proceedings of 1995 IEEE 5th International Conference on Conduction and Breakdown in Solid Dielectrics, 2002Energy storage is nowadays very useful for applications such as energy recuperation or energy compensation systems. For this purpose batteries are very powerful, but the charging time remains too long. On the other hand, capacitors can be charged instantaneously but the energy density is low (the capacitor to accumulator energy ratio is 1/2000).

Dielectric properties of ultrafine grained BaTiO/sub 3/
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1989The dielectric constant and spontaneous polarization of fine-grained BaTiO(3) prepared from powder produced by metalloorganic decomposition technology were studied. The room-temperature dielectric constant of BaTiO(3) was found to increase sharply with increase in grain size, reach a maximum at about 0.4 mum, and decrease with further increase in grain

Multibeam Coupling In Photorefractive BaTiO 3
SPIE Proceedings, 1989Theoretical and experimental results are presented for simultaneous multibeam coupling in photorefractive BaTiO3. Within a single crystal, multiple signals are amplified through a coupling processs that employs a single pump beam. The amplification of each signal results from both coupling between signal and pump beam and coupling between different ...
