Dispersion of the oblique phonons in tetragonal BaTiO3 and Ce: BaTiO3
Journal of Raman Spectroscopy, 1995AbstractRaman spectra of oblique phonons in tetragonal BaTiO3 and Ce : BaTiO3 single crystals were obtained for different values of the angle θ which the phonon wavenumber q̄ makes with the c‐axis. On the basis of Merten's equation, the directional dispersion curves were fitted and plotted.

Defect induced ferromagnetism in h-BaTiO 3 synthesized from t-BaTiO 3 by microwave heating
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2017Abstract Structure modification of tetragonal BaTiO3 (t-BaTiO3) and corresponding phase transition by microwave heating were investigated. The sample compound was heated by 1.8 kW power and 2.45 GHz frequency microwave irradiation under N2 atmosphere in a short experimental duration of 14 min.

Vertically Aligned Arrays of BaTiO3 Nanowires
ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2013Barium titanate (BaTiO3) nanowires have gained considerable research interest due to their lead-free composition and strong energy conversion efficiency. However, most research has focused on free-standing BaTiO3 nanowires, which are hard to apply for sensing and energy harvesting.

The resistive switching effects in BaTiO3/ZnO/BaTiO3/Carbon film
Functional Materials Letters, 2018An obvious unipolar resistance switching is observed in BaTiO3/ZnO/BaTiO3/Carbon films. The resistance switching effect and the set voltage can be modulated by light irradiation. The RS ratio increases with light intensity. These phenomena are explained using trap/detrap mechanism.

Light enhanced resistive switching in BaTiO3/CoFeB/BaTiO3 structure
Functional Materials Letters, 2016Obvious resistive switching is observed under light irradiation in BaTiO3/CoFeB/BaTiO3 trilayer prepared by magnetron sputtering system while the same sample shows extremely small resistive switching effect in the dark. Under the irradiation of 31.4[Formula: see text]mW/cm2, the ratio of high resistance to low resistance (OFF/ON ratio) of the sample ...

BaTiO3 Particle-Size Dependence of Ferroelectricity in BaTiO3/Polymer Composites
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1993BaTiO3 particle-size dependence of ferroelectricity in BaTiO3/polymer composites was investigated from the viewpoints of the crystal phase in BaTiO3 powder and piezoelectric properties in BaTiO3/polymer composites. The crystal phase of BaTiO3 powder was transformed from tetragonal to pseudocubic at a critical particle size of 0.1 to 0.2 µm at room

Structural Transformation of Hexagonal (0001)BaTiO3Ceramics to Tetragonal (111)BaTiO3Ceramics
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 2011A ceramic slurry that contains a 6H-type Ba(Ti0.95Mn0.05)O3 powder was casted into a plaster mold under 10 T magnetic field to form a green compact of (0001)-oriented Ba(Ti0.95Mn0.05)O3. After sintering the green compact at 1300 °C in air, it was confirmed that the (0001)-oriented 6H-type perovskite structure transformed to a (111)-oriented 3C-type

Codoping of Ni and Fe in tetragonal BaTiO 3
Computational Condensed Matter, 2017Abstract Density functional theory and generalized gradient approximation including a Hubbard-like term were used in the present investigation of tetragonal barium titanate crystal codoped with Ni and Fe impurities. Ubiquitous in any oxide material oxygen vacancy defect has been considered as well.

Origins Of The Photorefractive Effect In BaTiO 3
SPIE Proceedings, 1985We have used a number of experimental techniques to identify the photorefractive species in commercial samples of BaTiO3. We find that iron impurities (in the Fe and Fe states) are the most likely sodrce of photorefractive effect, although other transition metal impurities may also contribute.
