TreeSpider: In‐Canopy Exploration With Tether‐Based Aerial Modular Arms

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A tethered drone with perching arms and a 360° ring enables unprecedented maneuverability within dense forest canopies. By dynamically adjusting tether length and decoupling pitch from the frame, it navigates between branches, senses multiple trees, and interacts physically with foliage.

Power Battery Performance Detection System for Electric Vehicles

open access: yesProcedia Computer Science, 2019
Abstract The importance of batteries for electric vehicles is equivalent to the importance of the heart to people. The battery can provide energy for electric vehicles and increase the power for electric vehicles. It is for this reason that electric vehicle manufacturers, drivers and maintenance plants need to have a deeper understanding of the ...

Combined electric applications in transport [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Maximizing the efficiency in transport vehicles will be a necessity. This may be realized by introducing a power electronic conversion between the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and the wheels. Hence the ICE may be used at its maximal efficiency point.

Electrically Powered Vehicles Battery Management System: Cooling for Parked Vehicles

open access: yesASM Science Journal
For electrically powered vehicles Battery Management Systems are responsible for protected charging of the batteries. Different switches like MOSFETS, transistors are used to control the charging current of the batteries. While charging the batteries with 48A/11KW or 16A/45 KW the switches generate heat up to 150 W.
