Multi-user channel estimation for uplink OFDMA systems based on the random-set theory
For the uplink OFDMA systems,a random-set theory based multi-user channel estimation algorithm was proposed. In the proposed algorithm, states of the users the multi-path channels were modeled and described by a finite random set. Then the Bayes filtering ...

Import Wheat Tenders and the Effects of the Russian Invasion
ABSTRACT Risk and volatility for many commodities escalated sharply following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, creating numerous uncertainties for trading firms and importers. The purpose of this study is to analyze the bidding behavior in Egyptian wheat import tenders in the pre‐ and post‐invasion periods.

An Empirical Bayes approach to ARX estimation
Empirical Bayes inference is based on estimation of the parameters of an a priori distribution from the observed data. The estimation technique of the parameters of the prior, called hyperparameters, is based on the marginal distribution obtained by integrating the joint density of the model with respect to the prior.

Traceability of Agri‐Food Products: The Key to Conscious Trade
ABSTRACT Globalization and growing concerns about sustainability have led to improvements in product traceability, quality, and sustainability. Traceability contributes to environmental protection and supports sustainable development by fostering transparency in agricultural practices and encouraging the responsible use of resources.

We develop a new empirical Bayes analysis in multiple regression models. In the present work we consider multivariate skewnormal as prior for coefficients of the model in a skew-normal population and give empirical Bayes estimation for parameters of ...

ABSTRACT Native plants offer a variety of aesthetic (e.g., fall colour, fruit, flowers) and functional benefits (e.g., pollinator friendly, wildlife friendly, water management). How these benefits influence consumer choice and perceived value of native versus introduced plants is not well understood.

The Geography of Success: A Spatial Analysis of Export Intensity in the Italian Wine Industry
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the paradox of how Italy's fragmented, SME‐dominated wine industry achieves global export success. Moving beyond purely firm‐centric explanations, we test whether export intensity is spatially dependent, clustering geographically in regional ecosystems.

Food Prices and Inflation Expectations in New Zealand
ABSTRACT Food prices are conspicuous, and spending on food constitutes a considerable share of household expenditure. In this study, we use partially identified Bayesian structural vector autoregression models to analyze the effects of food price shocks on core inflation and 1‐ and 5‐year inflation expectations in New Zealand.
