IgG‐Bridging–Seeded Synergistic Aggregation of SARS‐CoV‐2 Spikes Underlies Potent Neutralization by a Low‐Affinity Antibody

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Low‐affinity antibodies are frequently disregarded in discovery pipelines. This work reports P5‐1C8, a Class 1 SARS‐CoV‐2 antibody with weak trimer binding (KD‐to‐IC50 > 3700‐fold) yet potent neutralization of Omicron JN.1. Structural, biophysical, functional, and coarse‐grained simulations collectively demonstrate that transient inter‐spike IgG ...

An assessment of empirical Bayes and composite estimators for small areas [PDF]

open access: yes
We compare a set of empirical Bayes and composite estimators of the population means of the districts (small areas) of a country, and show that the natural modelling strategy of searching for a well fitting empirical Bayes model and using it for ...

Real‐Time High‐Definition Hyperspectral Endoscopy via Spatial‐Temporal Low‐Frequency‐Stochastic Spectral Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A real‐time, high‐definition hyperspectral endoscopy is enabled by developing a spatial‐temporal spectral encoding approach based on low‐frequency stochastic filters combined with an encoding‐guided attention network. It provides hyperspectral image of in vivo tissue with fine superficial features, enables visualization of rapid and subtle ...

Statistical analysis of double stress accelerated life testing under adaptive type-Ⅱ progressive censoring

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao
Aiming at the traditional accelerated life test only considering the single stress and single failure cause, the inference method of double stress accelerated competing risks data is studied under the adaptive type-Ⅱ progressively censored and the life ...

Statistical Analysis for Constant-Stress Accelerated Life Test With Weibull Distribution Under Adaptive Type-II Hybrid Censored Data

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, we discuss the point and interval estimates of the parameters from Weibull distribution based on adaptive Type-II progressively hybrid censored data in constant-stress accelerated life test using maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) methods

A Shear Thickening Colloidal Suspension Functioning via Progressive Impact Jamming with Persistent Lubrication Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ionic liquid‐based shear‐thickening fluid (ILSTF) exhibits lubricated dynamics from strong shear thickening to impact‐triggered jamming. A persistent nanometric solvation layer around silica governs both the shear thickening saturation in rheology and jamming front propagation under dynamic impact compression.

"Minimax Estimation of Linear Combinations of Restricted Location Parameters" [PDF]

open access: yes
The estimation of a linear combination of several restricted location parameters is addressed from a decision-theoretic point of view. A bench-mark estimator of the linear combination is an unbiased estimator, which is minimax, but inadmissible relative ...

Neural Fields for Highly Accelerated 2D Cine Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT 2D cine phase contrast (CPC) MRI provides quantitative information on blood velocity and flow within the human vasculature. However, data acquisition is time‐consuming, motivating the reconstruction of the velocity field from undersampled measurements to reduce scan times. In this work, neural fields are proposed as a continuous spatiotemporal
