A Quantitative Systems Pharmacology Model of Human Leucine Metabolism
ABSTRACT Branched‐chain amino acids (BCAAs) are essential dietary components that humans cannot synthesize. Altered BCAA levels have been associated with biomarkers or potential risk factors in several metabolic disorders, including insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.

Abstract This study evaluated the effects of different dietary methionine (Met) levels on the feeding, growth, and protein metabolism of Chinese perch, Siniperca chuatsi. Six diets containing graded levels of Met (0.88%, 1.11%, 1.68%, 2.02%, 2.27%, and 2.72%) were fed to fish (initial weight: 13.74 ± 0.12 g) for 8 weeks.

Branched‐Chain Amino Acid Accumulation Fuels the Senescence‐Associated Secretory Phenotype
The essential branched‐chain amino acids (BCAAs) leucine, isoleucine, and valine play critical roles in protein synthesis and energy metabolism. Despite their widespread use as nutritional supplements, BCAAs’ full effects on mammalian physiology remain ...

Working model of S‐dependent Fe stress integration in durum wheat. S availability acts as the main factor defining the metabolic and transcriptional state of the plant, whereas Fe mainly affects the intensity of these responses. This is particularly evident for OAS, methionine, citrate and asparagine, which accumulated most strongly under combined S ...
