Transporter‐Associated Therapeutic Efficacy of an SMVT‐Targeted Boron Carrier in Boron Neutron Capture Therapy

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
The transporter‐associated BNCT strategy using BBCIP with or without BPA according to tumor transporter characteristics. BPA showed greater efficacy in LAT1‐dominant F98 glioma, whereas BBCIP was more effective in SMVT‐high CRL1666 tumors, suggesting the potential utility of transporter‐based boron carrier selection in BNCT.

Area-Optimized Fully-Flexible BCH Decoder for Multiple GF Dimensions

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Recently, there are increasing demands for fully flexible Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) decoders, which can support different dimensions of Galois fields (GF) operations.

VLSI Architectures for Reed–Solomon Codes: Classic, Nested, Coupled, and Beyond

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems, 2020
Classic Reed-Solomon (RS) codes and binary Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) codes, which can be considered as a special case of RS codes, are utilized for error correction in numerous systems, such as Flash memories, optical communications, wireless ...

Cyclic and BCH codes whose minimum distance equals their maximum BCH bound

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics of Communications, 2016
In this paper we study the family of cyclic codes such that its minimum distance reaches the maximum of its BCH bounds. We also show a way to construct cyclic codes with that property by means of computations of some divisors of a polynomial of the form X^n-1.

Implications of Interethnic Parents' Ethnocultural Affiliation Profiles on Multiethnic Families

open access: yesFamily Relations, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives This study examined heterogeneity in interethnic parents' ethnocultural affiliations and compared affiliation profiles on interparental relationship quality and coparenting as well as mixed‐ethnicity children's mental health. Methods Participants were mothers (Mage = 24.69 years at child's birth), fathers (Mage = 27.51 years at ...

Conspiracy Mentality, Conspiracy Beliefs, and the Four Socio‐Psychological Levels of Analysis: A Latent Profile Moderation Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Applied Social Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The relationship between conspiracy mentality (CM) and belief in specific conspiracy theories (CBs) has been described as bidirectional, but it remains unclear under which socio‐psychological conditions each direction of the relationship is reinforced.

Modular Chiral N-Heterocyclic Carbene Ligands for the Nickel-Catalyzed Enantioselective C–H Functionalization of Heterocycles

open access: yesCHIMIA, 2020
N-Heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) are the ligands of choice in a large variety of transformations entailing different transition metals. However, the number and variety of chiral NHCs suitable as stereo-controlling ligands in asymmetric catalysis remains ...

A Family of Reversible BCH Codes

open access: yesCoRR, 2016
Cyclic codes are an interesting class of linear codes due to their efficient encoding and decoding algorithms as well as their theoretical importance. BCH codes form a subclass of cyclic codes and are very important in both theory and practice as they have good error-correcting capability and are widely used in communication systems, storage devices ...

American Geriatrics Society Position Statement: Advancing the Healthcare of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and More Older Adults

open access: yesJournal of the American Geriatrics Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the decade since the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) released a position statement on Care of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Older Adults, we have seen significant progress toward achieving equal health and civil rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and more (LGBTQI+) individuals.

Hoffmann's two‐toed sloth II: Muscle architectural properties in the thoracic limb of Choloepus (Pilosa: Xenarthra)

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
Two‐toed sloths use their thoracic limbs for more frequent and greater suspensory support than three‐toed sloths and have muscle architectural properties consistent with stability of the pectoral girdle, enhanced flexor force/torque applied at the shoulder and elbow joints, and grip on the support as indicated by their myology. Abstract Two‐toed sloths
