AbstractlncRNAs are responsible for a variety of diseases, including gastric cancer (GC). Many recent studies have reported that lncRNAs can serve as crucial regulators of various genes. Nevertheless, the biological function of lncRNA damage induced noncoding (DINO) remained poorly investigated in GC.

The interaction of BAX (BCL-2-associated X protein) with BIM (BCL-2 interacting mediator of cell death) SAHB (stabilized α helix of BCL2) directly initiates BAX-mediated mitochondrial apoptosis. This molecular dynamics study reveals that BIM SAHB forms a stable complex with BAX but it remains in a non-functional conformation.

Abstract The induction of apoptosis in vivo is a useful tool for investigating the functions and importance of particular tissues. B‐cell leukaemia/lymphoma 2‐associated X protein (Bax) functions as a pro‐apoptotic factor and induces apoptosis in several organisms.

Some phytochemicals demonstrate gastroprotective effects by inhibiting gastric acid secretion or through antioxidant action. One of these antioxidant phytochemicals which have been studied is gallic acid. However, its mechanism in the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcer remains unclear.

To determine the microsatellite instability in gastric carcinomas, examine the frameshift mutations of transforming growth factor-beta type II receptor (TGFbetaRII), insulin growth factor II receptor (IGFIIR), bcl-2 associated X protein (BAX) and E2F4, and investigate whether or how alterations of the TGFbetaRII, IGFIIR, BAX and E2F4 gene are ...
