ABSTRACT Background Fertility preservation in patients with testicular cancer remains a clinical priority, yet the optimal timing for sperm cryopreservation—before or after orchidectomy—remains a matter of debate. Bridging practices prior to brexucabtagene autoleucel for mantle cell lymphoma in the United Kingdom: An analysis of modality, response, toxicity and survival

Summary Bridging therapy (BT) prior to brexucabtagene autoleucel (brexu‐cel) in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is supported by limited evidence. Here, we report BT modality and outcome in 176 patients at 15 centres in the United Kingdom. BT was delivered to 90% (158/176), the majority receiving standard chemotherapy +/− radiotherapy (53%) (SD chemo +/− RT)

Cytochrome P450 1A1 influences obesity‐induced pulmonary hypertension

Background and Purpose The contribution of obesity to pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) pathophysiology remains poorly understood. Adipose tissue synthesises estrogens via cytochrome P450 (CYP) 19A1 (aromatase), whereas circulating estrogens are metabolised in the lung by CYP1A1.

Induction of IL‐9‐producing CD8+ T cells by ascochlorin derivatives

A newly synthesised ascochlorin derivative, N184, induces small amounts of IL‐9‐producing CD8+ T cells. N184 improved the survival of CD8+ T cells and enhanced their antitumour activity, partially in an IL‐9‐dependent manner. The antitumour effect was completely dependent on IFNγ secretion rather than the cytotoxic activity of CD8+ T cells.
