Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) arises from the constitutive activity of the BCR-ABL1 oncoprotein. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) that target the ATP-binding site have transformed CML into a chronic manageable disease.

CRKL Binding to BCR-ABL and BCR-ABL Transformation
Leukemia & Lymphoma, 1999The SH2-SH3 domain-containing adaptor protein CRKL is the predominant tyrosine phosphorylated protein in chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) neutrophils and BCR-ABL-expressing cell lines. The amino terminal CRKL SH3 domain binds directly to a proline-rich region in the C-terminus of BCR-ABL. BCR-ABL mutants with deletions of this region were constructed

gene on chromosome 9 is the humanhomologue of a gene originally identified in a murineoncogenic virus, the Abelson murine leukaemia virus(A-MuLV). This retrovirus was isolated from a pred-nisolone treated mouse which developed lymphomafollowing innoculation with Moloney murineleukaemia virus (M-MuLV).

Leukemia Research, 1996
This review focuses on the role of the chimeric BCR/ABL gene in leukemia development. First, we discuss and update knowledge regarding the molecular biology of BCR/ABL. We then review data regarding transforming activity of BCR/ABL. Third, we discuss the complex interactions between BCR/ABL and leukemia phenotype. We conclude with a brief discussion of

The primary structure of Bcr PH domain is analyzed by using biological databank. To obtain the experimental secondary structure content of the recombinant PH protein, CD spectra were measured at 200???240 nm. The data observed correlate to ones for PH domains with determined structure.

Internalization of BCR in EU12 µHC+ cells by BCR-Crosslinking cells by BCR-Crosslinking (132.27)
The Journal of Immunology, 2010Abstract Engagement of the B cell antigen receptor (BCR) on mature B cells activates signal transduction pathways leading to B cell activation. It has also been shown that crosslinking BCR on murine mature B cells results in partial BCR internalization and limited receptor recycling.

B cells and antibodies are important elements of acquired humoral immunity in the fight against various pathogens, and signals through the B cell receptor (BCR) are crucial for the development, activation and differentiation of B cells. Our laboratory has focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of BCR-mediated signaling cascades that regulate
