Relativistic BCS-BEC crossover of a two-species Fermi gas with number density asymmetry at zero temperature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We systematically study relativistic two-species fermions with tunable attractive interactions and number-density asymmetry at zero temperature. In general, a Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) - Bose-Einstein Condensation (BEC) - relativistic BEC (RBEC ...

Effects of dynamical screening on the BCS-BEC crossover in double bilayer graphene: Density functional theory for exciton bilayers [PDF]

open access: yesPHYSICAL REVIEW MATERIALS, 2021
We derive a gap equation for bilayer excitonic systems based on density functional theory and benchmark our results against quantum Monte-Carlo simulations and recent experiments on double bilayer graphene.

DISORDER INDUCED BCS-BEC CROSSOVER [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics: Conference Series, 2012
Of late, the study of BCS-BEC crossover in the presence of weak random impurity is an interesting issue. In this proceedings we study the effect of this disorder which is included through the Nozières and Smith-Rink theory of superconducting fluctuations.

Spatial emergence of off-diagonal long-range order throughout the BCS-BEC crossover [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical review B, 2021
In a superfluid system, Off-Diagonal Long-Range Order (ODLRO) is expected to be exhibited in the appropriate reduced density matrices when the relevant particles (either bosons or fermion pairs) are considered to recede sufficiently far apart from each ...

BCS-BEC Crossover in Quantum Confined Superconductors

open access: yesJournal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism, 2015
Ultranarrow superconductors are in the strong quantum confinement regime with formation of multiple coherent condensates associated with the many subbands of the electronic structure. Here we analyze the multiband BCS-BEC crossover induced by the chemical potential tuned close to a subband bottom, in correspondence of a superconducting shape resonance.

Pairing amplification induced by nonadiabatic effects on the electron-phonon interaction throughout the BCS-BEC crossover [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical review B
Nonadiabatic effects in the electron-phonon coupling are important whenever the ratio between the phononic and the electronic energy scales, the adiabatic ratio, is non negligible.

BCS-BEC crossover in mix-dimensional Fermi gases [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal B, 2011
We investigate a mix-dimensional Fermi-Fermi mixture in which one species is confined in two-dimensional(2D) space while the other is free in three-dimensional space(3D). We determine the superfluid transition temperature $T_{c}$ for the entire BCS-BEC crossover including the important effects of noncondensed pairs.

Fermi gas throughout the BCS-BEC crossover: Comparative study of t -matrix approaches with various degrees of self-consistency [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical review B, 2019
The diagrammatic t-matrix approximation has often been adopted to describe a dilute Fermi gas. This approximation, originally considered by Galitskii for a repulsive inter-particle interaction (Galitskii-1958), has later been widely utilized for an ...

BCS-BEC Crossover Effects and Pseudogap in Neutron Matter

open access: yesUniverse, 2020
Due to the large neutron–neutron scattering length, dilute neutron matter resembles the unitary Fermi gas, which lies half-way in the crossover from the BCS phase of weakly coupled Cooper pairs to the Bose–Einstein condensate of dimers.

Evolution of pairing from weak to strong coupling on a honeycomb lattice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We study the evolution of the pairing from weak to strong coupling on a honeycomb lattice by Quantum Monte Carlo. We show numerical evidence of the BCS-BEC crossover as the coupling strength increases on a honeycomb lattice with small fermi surface by ...
