DBnet: Doa-Driven Beamforming Network for end-to-end Reverberant Sound Source Separation

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2021
Many deep learning techniques are available to perform source separation and reduce background noise. However, designing an end-to-end multi-channel source separation method using deep learning and conventional acoustic signal processing techniques still

Phased Array Antenna with Beamforming Network for 5G mmWave Communication System

European Microwave Conference, 2021
Design of a millimeter-wave (mmWave) phased array antenna based on the Butler-matrix beamforming technique for fifth generation (5G) wireless applications is discussed in this paper. An 8-way compact Butler-matrix produces eight beam states.

A compact 4 × 4 SIW beamforming network for 5G applications

, 2021
This paper presents a compact SIW beamforming network (BFN) for feeding a four-beam slot array antenna, which can be used in 5G mobile applications. The proposed BFN is realized with a new 4×4 multi-aperture coupler (MAC) and a 4×4 “equal length unequal ...

Transmit Beamforming in Cooperative Networks

VTC Spring 2008 - IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference, 2008
Cooperative relay communication systems has been extensively studied in recent years due to their ability to provide more reliable communications through enhanced diversity and to extend the range of the communication system. Equipping communication terminals with multiple antennas have similar advantages.

Beamforming with Enhanced CNN Network

Proceedings of the 2017 VI International Conference on Network, Communication and Computing, 2017
In this paper, by exploiting the inherent similarity among the generalized cross correlation (GCC) pattern of the microphone arrays, a robust neural network for beamforming is proposed. To reduce the complexity, one-dimensional convolutional neutral network is taken into account to simplify the classification.

Network Beamforming in Energy-Harvesting Relay Networks

2019 IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC), 2019
In wireless-powered cooperative communication networks with multiple energy harvesting relays, relay selection has been the solution to exploit the cooperative diversity in the literature. In this paper, we propose to employ network beamforming (NB) in such networks to improve the source-to-destination capacity and reliability.

Telescopic beamforming for large wireless networks

2013 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2013
We consider a wireless network with n users distributed over a square area A = n. Under line-of-sight propagation, this network has Θ(√n) degrees of freedom. At high SNR, these degrees of freedom can be readily achieved by multi-hop relaying between nodes. At low SNR however, the performance is determined by the power transfer in the network.

Millimeter-Wave Dual Left/Right-Hand Circularly Polarized Beamforming Network

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2020
A novel high-efficiency eight-beams dual-polarized array antenna using an $8 \times 8$ beamforming network is studied and developed at 60 GHz. Two $4\times 4$ Butler matrices are employed as base beamformers, and two $4\times 8$ pattern control ...
