Collaborative beamforming in wireless sensor networks
2011 Conference Record of the Forty Fifth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers (ASILOMAR), 2011Collaborative beamforming (CB) is an energy efficient transmission scheme in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Despite the promising aspects of CB, its practical implementation remains largely unexplored and the challenges, namely frequency, phase, and data synchronization, must be addressed for successful deployment.

Distributed Beamforming for Underwater Sensor Networks
Proceedings of the International Conference on Underwater Networks %Systems - WUWNET '14, 2014We propose a binary-feedback-based distributed beamforming for underwater sensor networks (UWSNs). Distributed beamforming is a technique that enables distributed sensor nodes to cooperatively transmit signals in order to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

Movable Antenna Enabled Interference Network: Joint Antenna Position and Beamforming Design
IEEE Wireless Communications LettersThis letter investigates the utility of movable antenna (MA) assistance for the multiple-input single-output (MISO) interference channel. We exploit an additional design degree of freedom provided by MA to enhance the desired signal and suppress ...

Robust Beamforming With Gradient-Based Liquid Neural Network
IEEE Wireless Communications LettersMillimeter-wave (mmWave) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication with the advanced beamforming technologies is a key enabler to meet the growing demands of future mobile communication. However, the dynamic nature of cellular channels in large-

Cooperative beamforming in Cognitive Radio networks
2009 2nd IFIP Wireless Days (WD), 2009In this paper, the problem of cooperative beamforming is investigated in a heterogeneous underlay cognitive network. A major difference exists between a conventional cooperative beamforming problem and cooperative beamforming in a CR (Cognitive Radio)network due to the interference constraints imposed by primary network.

On Evaluation of Beamforming Networks
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2014An approach is presented to characterize a beamforming network by means of a single quantity. It is based on a comparison of the actual output signal vector to the desired output signal vector. The formulation can be concisely written in matrix notation and allows for a characterization over frequency, accounting for absolute offsets. By expressing the

Distributed Beamforming Using a Scattering Network
2010 8th Annual Communication Networks and Services Research Conference, 2010Novel beam-forming methodology is proposedthat employs passive RF devices in order to enhance thereceived signal. This paper demonstrates the feasibility of suchbeamforming and the realization methodology for a randomlyplaced set of passive devices. Typically, a beamforming isrealized by employing an antenna array at a receiver ortransmitter.

Blind robust neural network beamformer
IJCNN'99. International Joint Conference on Neural Networks. Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36339), 2003Many blind beamforming algorithms, such as C-CAB, use the signal characteristics to estimate the steering vector. The conventional LCMV algorithm is then adapted to obtain the optimum solution. However, the LCMV-like methods are sensitive to the mismatch. In this paper, the cause of this mismatch is discussed in detail.
