Mental Representations of Values and Behaviors [PDF]
The present research provides the first direct assessment of the fit of diverse behaviors to putatively related personal and social values from Schwartz’s theory. Across three studies, we examined spatial representations of value-related behaviors that were explicitly derived from people’s mental representations of the values.

Proper elimination of latent variables [PDF]
We consider behaviors in which we distinguish two types of variables, manifest variables, the variables that are of interest to the user and latent variables, the variables that are introduced to obtain a first representation.

Representation of Friendship and Aggressive Behavior in Primary School Children
This study examines the representation of friendship during middle childhood and its impact on aggressive behavior. The literature shows that friendship is almost a “gym of social skills,” which, in turn, are protective factors against aggressive ...

Scaling of the irreducible SO(3)-invariants of velocity correlations in turbulence [PDF]
The scaling behavior of the SO(3) irreducible amplitudes $d_n^l(r)$ of velocity structure tensors (see L'vov, Podivilov, and Procaccia, Phys. Rev. Lett. (1997)) is numerically examined for Navier-Stokes turbulence.

On the representation of m as ∑k=−nnϵkk
Let A(n,m) be the number of solutions of ∑k=−nnϵkk=m where each ϵk∈{0,1}. We determine the asymptotic behavior of A(n,m) for m=o(n3/2), extending results of van Lint and of Entringer.
