Development of a multicomponent intervention to improve medication error reporting among healthcare professionals: a theory-informed approach using the behaviour change wheel and the theoretical domains framework in China

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology
IntroductionUnder-reporting of medication errors weakens reporting-and-learning systems and delays prevention efforts. Although medication error reporting is recognised as a core component of patient safety and organisational learning, reporting remains ...

Design and development of a complex narrative intervention delivered by text messages to reduce binge drinking among socially disadvantaged men

open access: yesPilot and Feasibility Studies, 2018
Background Socially disadvantaged men are at high risk of suffering from alcohol-related harm. Disadvantaged groups are less likely to engage with health promotion.

Cyber security in the workplace: Understanding and promoting behaviour change

open access: yes, 2013
Cyber security and the role employees play in securing information are major concerns for businesses. The aim of this research is to explore employee security behaviours and design interventions that can motivate behaviour change.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Efficacy of physical activity interventions in postnatal populations: Systematic review, meta-analysis and content coding of behaviour change techniques

open access: yes, 2014
This systematic review and meta-analysis reports the efficacy of post-natal physical activity change interventions with content coding of behaviour change techniques (BCTs).

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

Navigating the complexity: a comment on difficulties in conducting systematic reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour change interventions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity
Behaviour change interventions are widely applied across diverse domains to modify behaviours and improve outcomes, including but not limited to physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and nutrition.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Dietary Behaviour Change in Adolescence.

open access: yes, 1995
PhDDiet is an important determinant of health, especially during adolescence when growth and development are critical. Many young people continue however to eat a diet that does not conform with current dietary recommendations Relatively little ...
