D–A Type Perylene Micelles With Synergistic Charge/Energy Transfer for Dual‐Path ROS Generation and Enhanced Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dual‐state activation of singlet and triplet excitons is achieved in perylene‐based nanomicelles via donor engineering. By synergistically pairing charge transfer with energy transfer pathways, while concurrently enabling pollutant pre‐enrichment, this strategy establishes spatial coupling between efficient ROS generation and rapid mineralization ...

Carbon Stocks and Microbial Activity in the Low Arctic Tundra of the Yana–Indigirka Lowland, Russia

open access: yesLand
Arctic warming is expected to alter permafrost landscapes and shift tundra ecosystems from greenhouse gas sinks to sources. We quantified plant biomass and necromass, carbon stocks, and microbial activity across five Low-Arctic tundra sites in the Yana ...

An Artificially Selected Cytokinin‐Pathway Transcription Factor Balances Soybean Yield and Pathogen Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cytokinin pathway transcription factor, RR2b, was artificially selected during soybean domestication and improvement based on its differential transcriptional activity, which correlates with ATT repeat polymorphisms in its promoter. RR2b balances yield and defense by fine‐tuning its expression level and offers a promising target for decoupling trade ...

Carbon storage in the grasslands of China based on field measurements of above- and below-ground biomass [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Above- and below-ground biomass values for 17 types of grassland communities in China as classified by the Chinese Grasslands Resources Survey were obtained from systematic replicated sampling at 78 sites and from published records from 146 sites.

Disrupting Helicobacter pylori Iron Homeostasis With Bismuth Nanodrug‐Mediated Nutritional Trap for Targeted Gastric Infection Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A “nutritional trap” strategy centered on disrupting bacterial iron homeostasis is proposed. The synthesized Bi‐TP@FU (TBF) can target Helicobacter pylori, interfere with the bacterial iron uptake and utilization processes to disrupt its iron homeostasis, induce bacterial death, and meanwhile preserve the balance of the intestinal flora.

A Global Methane Observation System to Reduce Uncertainty for Anthropogenic and Natural Sources and Sinks for Detecting and Attributing Climate Feedbacks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conceptual illustration of a Global Ecosystem Methane Observing System (GEM‐OS) integrating satellites, aircraft, atmospheric networks, and ecosystem measurements to quantify methane emissions from anthropogenic and natural sources. The multi‐scale observing framework improves source attribution, reduces uncertainty in regional methane budgets, and ...
