Current applications of benchtop FT-NMR in food science: From quality control to adulteration detection [PDF]

open access: yesFood Research International
The introduction of benchtop FT-NMR spectrometers in recent years represents a remarkable innovation in various fields, including the food sector. Modern benchtop FT-NMR spectrometers are low-field instruments, with a magnetic field ranging from 1 T to 2.

Virtual-Reality-, Benchtop- und Tier-Benchtop-Simulatoren

Uro-News, 2019
Jeder 20.

Benchtop Polymer MEMS

Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems, 2006
Loctite photopatternable adhesives 3108, 3340, and 3525 are introduced for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) applications. These materials are patterned within minutes by exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light followed by rinsing with a solvent; no further processing is required.

Benchtop magnetostriction measurements

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2000
Strains of magnetostrictive origin cause dynamic variations in the radial dimensions of a thin wall cylindrical ring during brief bursts of current through a coaxial conductor. Flux closure within the ring avoids demagnetizing effects while the brief duration of current flow allows for compact power sources and limits thermal drift.

Benchtop sequencing on benchtop computers

2012
Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) is a powerful tool to gain new insights in molecular biology. With the introduction of the first bench top NGS sequencing machines (e.g. Ion Torrent, MiSeq), this technology became even more versatile in its applications and the amount of data that are produced in a short time is ever increasing.

Low-field and benchtop NMR

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2019
NMR started at low field. Important discoveries like the first observation of NMR in condensed matter, the spin echo, NMR for chemical analysis, Fourier NMR spectroscopy, 2D NMR spectroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging happened at field strengths considered low today.

Design of a Benchtop Alpha Particle Irradiator

Health Physics, 1995
The design, construction and calibration of a convenient irradiator is described that provides controlled exposure to a uniform external source of well-characterized alpha particles at a dose-rate of 0.99 cGy min-1. The use of a precis- ion photographic shutter allows the accurate delivery of doses as low as 0.01 mGy (1 mrad) to cultured cells. Special
