Calculation of shafts bending vibrations

ACADEMICIA: An International Multidisciplinary Research Journal, 2021
AbstractThis article deals with the problem of calculating the vibration of the details of high-speed non-woven fabric making machines. Methods: The brushes of the needle mechanisms of weaving machines provide direct needle movement. In the current machines, the needle rods are fixed to the beam.

Bending Vibrations of Variable Section Beams

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1956
Abstract Using simple beam theory, solutions are given for the vibration of beams having rectangular cross section with (a) linear depth and any power width variation, (b) quadratic depth and any power width variation, (c) cubic depth and any power width variation, and (d) constant depth and exponential width variation.

Vibration of cracked shafts in bending

Journal of Sound and Vibration, 1983
Abstract Cracked rotating shafts exhibit a certain particular dynamic response due to the local flexibility of the cracked section. In this response, most of the features of the response of a shaft with dissimilar moments of inertia can be identified.

Bending vibrations of ferroelectric monomorphs

Ferroelectrics, 1998
The resonance bending vibrations of a free end of cantilever mounted ferroelectric monomorphs induced by an a.c. electric field have been studied. The experimental data on the amplitude, resonance frequency and residual polarization are presented.

Experimental investigation of the bending vibrations of a fast vessel

Australian Journal of Mechanical Engineering, 2007
Nowadays, the larger flexibility of ship structures, as well as wave-load spectra shifted to higher frequencies due to high-speed operating regimes, allow the onset of significant vibration phenome...

Bending Vibrations of a Linear Chain

Proceedings of the Physical Society. Section A, 1949
The bending frequencies of a linear chain of n mass points have been calculated using a harmonic potential function involving forces between second neighbours. The proper boundary conditions are introduced and a general formula for the bending frequencies is derived.

Bending-Mode Vibration of a Suspended Nanotube Resonator

Nano Letters, 2006
We have used a suspended carbon nanotube as a frequency mixer to detect its own mechanical motion. A single gate-dependent resonance is observed, which we attribute to the fundamental bending mode vibration of the suspended carbon nanotubes. A continuum model is used to fit the gate dependence of the resonance frequency, from which we obtain values for

Comparison of ring bending strain with infrared bending vibrations

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1969
An empirical formula which has been shown to give good values for ring bending strain in small rings has been applied to infrared bending vibrations. The derived dynamics are of a ?pendulum? character, and reasonable agreement is obtained in calculating the C-C-C bending force constant from the empirical formula constant.

Random Eigenvalue Problems for Bending Vibrations of Beams

ZAMM, 1999
Summary: The paper deals with the determination of statistical characteristics of eigenvalues for a class of ordinary differential operators with random coefficients. This problem arises from the computation of eigenfrequencies for the bending vibrations of beams possessing random geometry and material properties.
