Gradient p‐p Orbital Hybridization in Bismuth‐Doped Crystalline Carbon Nitride for Dual‐Functional Carbon‐to‐Carbon Valorization

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration comparing the charge transfer dynamics and catalytic reaction over the (left) pristine carbon nitride and (right) Bi‐doped carbon nitride photocatalysts. In the pristine system, random charge diffusion and rapid recombination limit catalytic efficiency. In contrast, the Bi‐doped system establishes a robust internal electric field

Anode Materials Requirements for Potassium Ion Batteries: Challenges and Future Possibilities

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This work identifies a critical scale‐up gap between laboratory battery research and industrial targets, driven by low active‐mass loadings and the omission of full‐cell metrics. We outline concrete strategies to bridge this divide, shifting focus toward high‐loading electrodes (> 3 mg cm−2) to ensure practical commercial viability of potassium ion ...

Hybrid Graphene‐Carbon Nanotube (CNT) Conductive Additives System for Regulating Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Fibrillization Toward High‐Energy‐Density LiFePO4 Dry Cathodes

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Graphene sheets were introduced as low‐friction regulators to control PTFE fibrillization during dry electrode processing. Positioned between LFP particles and PTFE, graphene mitigates transmission of shear stress, enabling the formation of thick, long, and continuous PTFE fiber networks.
