Two Material Properties from One Wavelength‐Orthogonal Photoresin Enabled by a Monochromatic Laser Integrated Stereolithographic Apparatus (Mono LISA)

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A single object with dual properties – degradable and non‐degradable – is fabricated in a single print simply by switching the printing colors. The advanced multi‐material printing is enabled by the combination of a fully wavelength‐orthogonal photoresin and a monochromatic tunable laser printer, paving the way for precise multi‐material ...

A note on the inviscid limit of the Benjamin-Ono-Burgers equation in the energy space [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
In this paper we study the inviscid limit of the Benjamin-Ono-Burgers equation in the energy space $ H^{1/2} (\R) $ or $ H^{1/2}(\T) $. We prove the strong convergence in the energy space of the solution to this equation toward the solution of the Benjamin-Ono equation as the dissipation coefficient converges to $ 0 $.

The Benjamin Loan Mills

open access: yes, 2002
Although there was a time when the Benjamin Loan Mills were alive with activity, those days are now gone. They ended a century ago when the gristmill and the sawmill closed in 1901 after yet another fire.

A Natural Lignification Inspired Super‐Hard Wood‐Based Composites with Extreme Resilience

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Super‐hard wood‐based composites (WBC) are designed and developed inspired by the mesoscale homogeneous lignification process intrinsic to tree growth. This innovative hybrid structure is achieved by leveraging the infusion of low‐molecular‐weight phenol formaldehyde resin into the cell walls of thin wood slices, followed by a unique multi‐layer ...

Global well-posedness for the k-dispersion generalized Benjamin-Ono equation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We consider the $k$-dispersion generalized Benjamin-Ono equation in the supercritical case. We establish sharp conditions on the data to show global well-posedness in the energy space for this family of nonlinear dispersive equations. We also prove similar results for the generalized Benjamin-Ono equation.

New Efficient D‐π‐A and A‐π‐A Structured Type I Radical Photoinitiators for Additive Manufacturing Nanomaterials Preparation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Groundbreaking advancements are discovered in 3D printing with new type‐I radical photoinitiators, including 1,1‐dimethoxy‐1‐phenylpropan‐2‐one. These innovative compounds, effective under visible light, enhance photopolymerization of acrylates and methacrylates, facilitating the creation of efficient nanocomposites and unlock the future of polymer ...

Structure-preserving integrators for the Benjamin-type equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
The numerical integration of the Benjamin and Benjamin--Ono equations are considered. They are non-local partial differential equations involving the Hilbert transform, and due to this, so far quite few structure-preserving integrators have been proposed.

Exciton Diffusion in Two‐dimentional Chiral Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Transport of light‐emitting excitons is demonstrated in 2D chiral perovskites via transient optical microscopy. The excitons are found to diffuse rapidly after the excitation followed by localization at longer time‐scales. Temperature‐dependent exciton propagation combined with photothermal deflection spectroscopy measurements reveal the role of ...
