Bent Functions from Cellular Automata [PDF]
In this work, we present a primary construction of bent functions based on cellular automata (CA). We consider the well-known characterization of bent functions in terms of Hadamard matrices and employ some recent results about mutually orthogonal Latin ...

Bent and vectorial bent functions, partial difference sets, and strongly regular graphs
Bent and vectorial bent functions have applications in cryptography and coding and are closely related to objects in combinatorics and finite geometry, like difference sets, relative difference sets, designs and divisible designs.

A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...

Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Nanocrystalline Ni at Multiple Length‐Scales
Overview of miniaturized in situ SEM fatigue setup and resultant fatigue crack growth data for nanocrystalline Ni. The presented study focuses on the analysis of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in focused ion beam‐notched microcantilevers prepared from nanocrystalline (NC) Ni as a model material.

Study regarding the springback of metal sheet parts after bending
Plastic deformation of materials is accompanied by elastic deformation. After the bending process, the elastic deformation disappears and the part is changing its dimensions comparing with those of the tool.

On Dillonʼs class H of bent functions, Niho bent functions and o-polynomials [PDF]
One of the classes of bent Boolean functions introduced by John Dillon in his thesis is family H. While this class corresponds to a nice original construction of bent functions in bivariate form, Dillon could exhibit in it only functions which already ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
