Asymmetric Total Synthesis of (−)‐Glycybridin B, a Pharmacophore Screened Candidate for Tubulin Binding

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Discovery and first total synthesis of (−)‐glycybridin B via a five‐step route utilizing a key chalcone intermediate. Initially identified through a pharmacophore screening as a potential tubulin binder, this natural product serves as a tool compound to explore structure‐activity relationships related to microtubule targeting and anticancer potential ...

Oxidant‐Free Amidation of Aldehydes Enabled by Electrophotocatalysis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
An electrophotocatalytic method for C(sp2)–N bond formation via radical‐polar crossover (RPC)‐HAT catalysis is presented. The mild operating conditions enable functionalization of a wide range of compounds, with electricity as the sole oxidant. Abstract Electrophotocatalysis (EPC) is emerging as a powerful tool in organic synthesis, offering unique ...

Understanding the Poisoning Mechanisms of Na2O and NaCl on CuO/Al2O3 Catalysts: Toluene Oxidation Performance and Reaction Pathways

open access: yesCleanMat, EarlyView.
Na2O and NaCl inhibit the toluene oxidation over CuO/Al2O3, which arises from the formation of Cu‐O‐Na and O‐Cu‐Cl structures. Cu‐O‐Na and O‐Cu‐Cl structure not only have negative effects on the surface properties of CuO/Al2O3 but also change the reaction pathway. Cu‐O‐Na structure promotes the generation of benzene.
