Degradation of chlorinated benzaldehydes in aqueous solutions by UV-irradiation
Photoinduced degradation of chlorinated benzaldehydes was investigated using UV light with λ = 253.7 nm in aerated aqueous solutions. Substrate degradation rate as expressed by first order reaction kinetics revealed rate constants, k; 7.45×10−3 min-1, 3 ...

Synthesis and Characterization of Chiral Nitrobenzaldehyde - Schiff Base Ligands
Three chiral nitrobenzaldehyde/Schiff base ligands (2a-c) were prepared by the reaction of ortho, meta, and para-NO2 substituted benzaldehydes (1a-c) with (1R,2R)-(-)-1,2-diaminocyclohexane. The structures of ligands 2a-c were characterized by IR, 1H-NMR,

Tyrosinase Inhibitor Activity of Coumarin-Resveratrol Hybrids [PDF]
In the present work we report on the contribution of the coumarin moiety to tyrosinase inhibition. Coumarin-resveratrol hybrids 1-8 have been resynthesized to investigate the structure-activity relationships and the IC50 values of these compounds were

Benzaldehyde-Functionalized Polymer Vesicles [PDF]
Polymer vesicles with diameters of ca. 100-600 nm and bearing benzaldehyde functionalities within the vesicular walls were constructed through self-assembly of an amphiphilic block copolymer PEO(45)-b-PVBA(26) in water. The reactivity of the benzaldehyde functionalities was verified by cross-linking the polymersomes and also by a one-pot cross-linking ...

1,3-Dipolar cycloadditions of azomethine imines [PDF]
Azomethine imines are considered 1,3-dipoles of the aza-allyl type which are transient intermediates and should be generated in situ but can also be stable and isolable compounds.

A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.
