Pharmacological Classification of Benzamides
Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, 1984Abstract The problem of classifying benzamides is, in general, the same as classifying neuroleptics. A pharmacological classification of neuroleptics can be established on the basis of the following criteria‐ specificity of action on dopaminergic receptors‐ penetration into the CNS‐ dopaminergic profile in the CNS• relative binding with respect to ...

Benzamides and cholinesterases.
Research communications in chemical pathology and pharmacology, 1987At certain doses metoclopramide (MT), sulpiride and bromopride produce anti-cholinesterase effects as shown by studies on the serum and erythrocyte cholinesterases of the rabbit and the dog, and by those on the hypotensive effect of ACh incubated with rabbit serum in the presence or absence of MT. The anti-cholinesterase effect of MT was more intensive

Aqueous sodium chloride solution, containing benzamide was electrolysed (pH = 2), using platinised titanium anode and graphite cathode. The filtrate of the reaction mixture (pH = 4.5) was diazotised and coupled with α‐naphthol in NaOH and also with β‐naphthol in NaOH. Dyes were produced.
