Pharmacological Classification of Benzamides

Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, 1984
Abstract The problem of classifying benzamides is, in general, the same as classifying neuroleptics. A pharmacological classification of neuroleptics can be established on the basis of the following criteria‐ specificity of action on dopaminergic receptors‐ penetration into the CNS‐ dopaminergic profile in the CNS• relative binding with respect to ...

Benzamides and cholinesterases.

Research communications in chemical pathology and pharmacology, 1987
At certain doses metoclopramide (MT), sulpiride and bromopride produce anti-cholinesterase effects as shown by studies on the serum and erythrocyte cholinesterases of the rabbit and the dog, and by those on the hypotensive effect of ACh incubated with rabbit serum in the presence or absence of MT. The anti-cholinesterase effect of MT was more intensive

Dyes from benzamide

Pigment & Resin Technology, 1999
Aqueous sodium chloride solution, containing benzamide was electrolysed (pH = 2), using platinised titanium anode and graphite cathode. The filtrate of the reaction mixture (pH = 4.5) was diazotised and coupled with α‐naphthol in NaOH and also with β‐naphthol in NaOH. Dyes were produced.

ortho-Arylation of Benzamides

Organic Letters, 2006
[reaction: see text] A simple method for the direct ortho-arylation of benzoic acid amides has been developed. The palladium-catalyzed reactions proceed in trifluoroacetic acid and require the presence of stoichiometric silver acetate. This presents an alternative to the currently used ortho-lithiation strategies for the synthesis of arylated benzoic ...

Intercalation of Benzamide into Kaolinite

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2000
Well-crystallized kaolinite (K) was initially reacted at 60 degrees C with a water/dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) mixture and the resulting intercalation derivative (K-DMSO) was characterized by powder X-ray diffractometry (PXRD), thermal analysis (simultaneous TG and DSC), and Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).

Chemical Synthesis of Benzamide Riboside

Current Medicinal Chemistry, 2002
The C-glycosidic nicotinamide riboside analogue (1) was prepared by reaction of ribonolactone 16 with the lithiated 2-oxazoline 13 followed by triethylsilane reduction of the hemiacetal 17 to the tetrahydrofurane 18. Cleavage of the oxazoline group in 20 to the acid 21, conversion of the acid chloride 22 to the amide 23, and hydrogenative debenzylation

Alkylating benzamides with melanoma cytotoxicity

Melanoma Research, 2004
Radioiodinated N-(2-(diethylamino)ethyl)benzamides have recently been discovered as selective agents for melanotic melanoma and are used for scintigraphic imaging in nuclear medicine. Owing to the high binding capacity, benzamide derivatives conjugated with alkylating cytostatics were synthesized and tested for their potential for targeted drug ...
