Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of 1-benzhydryl-sulfonyl-4-(3-(piperidin-4-yl) propyl)piperidine derivatives against pathogens of Lycopersicon esculentum: A structure-activity evaluation study

open access: yesArchives of Pharmacal Research, 2009
Several 1-benzhydryl-sulfonyl-4-(3-(piperidin-4-yl)propyl)piperidine derivatives 8(a-j) were prepared by the treatment of substituted benzhydryl chlorides with 4-(3-(piperidin-4-yl)propyl)piperidine followed by N-sulfonation with sulfonyl chlorides in ...

Activation of the C–C Bond Using Brønsted Acid NaHSO4/SiO2: Synthesis of Triarylmethanes from 3-Benzhydryl Pentane-2,4-dione and Aromatic Compounds

Synlett, 2014
A novel and efficient method for the activation of the C(sp 3 )–C(sp 3 ) bond was developed. The C(sp 3 )–C(sp 3 ) bond in 3-benzhydryl pentane-2,4-dione was easily cleaved in the presence of NaHSO 4 /SiO 2 to form benzhydryl cation which reacted with aromatic compounds at 110 °C for five to six hours to afford triarylmethanes in good yields.

6-Benzhydryl-4-methyl-2-(1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)phenol ligands and their zinc complexes: Syntheses, characterization and photoluminescence behavior

open access: yesInorganica Chimica Acta, 2012
The series of 6-benzhydryl-4-methyl-2-(1H-benzoimidazol-2-yl)phenol derivatives (HL) and their zinc complexes (ZnL2) were synthesized and fully characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies were conducted on representative complexes (C1 and C4),

COMPARATIVE SPASMOLYTIC ACTIVITIES OF CERTAIN BENZHYDRYL ALKAMINE ETHERS AND RELATED COMPOUNDS

The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, 1949
1. The anti-histamine activities of a series of ethyl substituted dimethyl-aminoethyl benzhydryl ethers were evaluated and all found to be less active than the unsubstituted dimethylaminoethyl benzhydryl ether (Benadryl). 2.

Revisiting the 2-imino-1,10-phenanthrolylmetal precatalyst in ethylene oligomerization: Benzhydryl-modified cobalt(II) complexes and their dimerization of ethylene

Polyhedron, 2021
The ortho-benzhydryl substituted 2-imino-1,10-phenanthrolylcobalt(II) dichlorides Co1-Co8 have been prepared by the direct reaction of the corresponding compartmental ligands L1–L8 and cobalt(II) chloride with good yields.

Highly basic alkyl-substituted bis(benzhydryl) CaII and YbII complexes with β-CH–M agostic interactions

Mendeleev communications (Print), 2021
The reaction between potassium derivative {[(4-ButC6H4)2CH]−K+}n and alkyl iodides gives new 1,1-bis(4-tert-butylphenyl)alkanes which can be deprotonated with BunNa to produce species [(4-ButC6H4)2CR]−Na+ (R = Me, Bui).
