Conjugation of benzoic acid in marsupials [PDF]
The urinary metabolites of benzoic acid have been studied in seven marsupial species and the rat. Benzoic acid was excreted mainly as the glycine conjugate, hippuric acid, with smaller, though variable, amounts as benzoyl glucuronide. Thus the overall pattern of metabolism was similar to that found in most other mammals.

2-(Trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid [PDF]
In the title compound, C(8)H(5)F(3)O(2), a halogenated derivative of benzoic acid, the carboxyl group is tilted by 16.8 (3)° with respect to the plane of the aromatic ring. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding gives rise to carb-oxy-lic acid dimers, which are further connected into double chains along [1,1/4,1] by C-H⋯O contacts.

4-(Diphenylphosphanyl)benzoic acid [PDF]
In the title compound, C(19)H(15)O(2)P, the dihedral angles between the benzoic acid ring and the phenyl rings are 75.64 (7) and 80.88 (7)°; the dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 81.35 (7)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(8) loops between the head-to-head carb-oxy-lic acid groups.

Influence of yogurt cultures on benzoic acid content in yoghurt [PDF]
Benzoic acid is not the natural metabolite in ruminants, therefore it is blocked in their gastrointestinal system in the form of benzoylglycine (hippuric acid).

Benzoic acid–2,2′-biimidazole (2/1) [PDF]
In the title compound, C6H6N4·2C7H6O2, the asymmetric unit contains a half-molecule of biimidazole and one benzoic acid molecule. The unit cell contains two biimidazole molecules and four benzoic acid molecules, giving the reported 2:1 ratio of ...
