Conjugation of benzoic acid in marsupials [PDF]

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Zoology, 1985
The urinary metabolites of benzoic acid have been studied in seven marsupial species and the rat. Benzoic acid was excreted mainly as the glycine conjugate, hippuric acid, with smaller, though variable, amounts as benzoyl glucuronide. Thus the overall pattern of metabolism was similar to that found in most other mammals.

2-(Trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2011
In the title compound, C(8)H(5)F(3)O(2), a halogenated derivative of benzoic acid, the carboxyl group is tilted by 16.8 (3)° with respect to the plane of the aromatic ring. In the crystal, O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding gives rise to carb-oxy-lic acid dimers, which are further connected into double chains along [1,1/4,1] by C-H⋯O contacts.

Photoelectrocatalytic Performance of Benzoic Acid on TiO2 Nanotube Array Electrodes [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2013
The photoelectrocatalytic performance of benzoic acid on TiO2 nanotube array electrodes was investigated. A thin-cell was used to discuss the effect of the bias voltage, illumination intensity, and electrolyte concentration on the photoelectrocatalytic ...

4-(Diphenylphosphanyl)benzoic acid [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2011
In the title compound, C(19)H(15)O(2)P, the dihedral angles between the benzoic acid ring and the phenyl rings are 75.64 (7) and 80.88 (7)°; the dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 81.35 (7)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R(2) (2)(8) loops between the head-to-head carb-oxy-lic acid groups.

Influence of yogurt cultures on benzoic acid content in yoghurt

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2000
Benzoic acid is not the natural metabolite in ruminants, therefore it is blocked in their gastrointestinal system in the form of benzoylglycine (hippuric acid).

Benzoic acid–2,2′-biimidazole (2/1)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2010
In the title compound, C6H6N4·2C7H6O2, the asymmetric unit contains a half-molecule of biimidazole and one benzoic acid molecule. The unit cell contains two biimidazole molecules and four benzoic acid molecules, giving the reported 2:1 ratio of ...

Electrochemical oxidation of benzoic acid and its aromatic intermediates on boron doped diamond electrodes

open access: yesCurrent Research in Green and Sustainable Chemistry, 2021
Electrochemical oxidation using Boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrodes is a promising purification technique to remove organic pollutants, such as benzoic acid, from wastewaters. In this study the oxidation of benzoic acid has been investigated on rotating

Benzoic acid in some milk products from the market in the Czech Republic

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2000
Benzoic acid is a natural component of fermented milk products. The level of benzoic acid depends on the level of hippuric acid in used milk and on the process of dairy product manufacture, especially on the technologically used microorganisms.

An evaluation of thermodynamic models for the prediction of drug and drug-like molecule solubility in organic solvents [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Prediction of solubility of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in different solvents is one of the main issue for crystallization process design. Experimental determination is not always possible because of the small amount of product available in ...
