Method Development and Validation for the Simultaneous Analysis of Miconazole Nitrate, Hydrocortisone and Chlorocresol in a Pharmaceutical Topical Cream by Reverse Phase Liquid Chromatography

open access: yesAnalytical Science Advances, Volume 7, Issue 1, June 2026.
Development and optimization of a reverse‐brphase chromatography method is done for the simultaneous analysis of hydrocortisone, miconazole nitrate, chlorocresol in a pharmaceutical topical cream. Key parameters are evaluated in this study. The optimum conditions are; volume (10 µL), temperature (30°C), flow rate (1 ml/min), gradient elution program ...

Pharmacokinetic Evaluation of a Cinnamon Product on CYP2A6 Substrate Drugs: Application of a Novel Tool Involving the Nicotine Metabolite Ratio

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 119, Issue 6, Page 1485-1493, June 2026.
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum spp.) is used as a culinary spice and dietary supplement. A major constituent, cinnamaldehyde, was previously shown to inactivate cytochrome P450 (CYP) 2A6 in vitro. A mechanistic static model predicted an ~5‐fold increase in the AUC of the CYP2A6 substrates nicotine and letrozole.

Development of the HTRF assay to evaluate the auxin‐induced binding between TIR1 and IAA7

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 5, Page 3475-3485, June 2026.
Summary Auxin plays diverse roles in plant growth and development, including sensing environmental changes. Quantifying the interaction between auxin coreceptors provides the molecular basis for cells to sense and adapt to environmental cues. Although several assays are available, a more high‐throughput method is necessary to efficiently evaluate the ...

Tomato plants control leaf sodium levels to limit damage by Spodoptera littoralis larvae

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 5, Page 3417-3427, June 2026.
Summary Sodium is an essential element for animal growth and survival. Here we test the hypothesis that plants exposed to insect feeding can translocate sodium from the feeding site to other plant organs as a defense strategy against phytophagous insects, which need sodium in their diet.

Inhibitors Targeting SARS‐CoV‐2 Papain‐Like Protease: Screening, Design, Synthesis, and Biological Evaluation

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 9, 14 May 2026.
In our study, we obtained both non‐covalent and covalent PLpro inhibitors. Additionally, the stable protein‐ligand interactions of the active compound were examined using advanced computational docking and molecular dynamics simulations. The non‐covalent inhibitor 2t showed antiviral activity with an EC50 of 2.89 µM, indicating its potential as a ...
