Diffusion Coefficients of Organic Compounds in Molten High‐Impact Polystyrene

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, Volume 66, Issue 6, Page 4658-4669, June 2026.
Schematic overview of the determination of diffusion coefficients in molten high‐impact polystyrene. ABSTRACT Polystyrene (PS) is a widely used packaging material, but its recycling for food‐contact applications is still limited, partly due to a lack of quantitative data on the migration behavior of potential contaminants.

Evaluation of Metal Nanoparticles Using ICP‐OES in Hairs of Patients With Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia and Comparison With Control Group

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA) is an increasingly prevalent scarring alopecia potentially linked to environmental factors such as nanoparticles (NPs) in skincare and sunscreens. Objectives This case–control study aimed to quantify titanium, zinc, aluminum, and iron concentrations in hair shafts of FFA patients versus controls ...

Safety assessment of the process Bandera Twin used to recycle post‐consumer PET into food contact materials

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract The EFSA Panel on Food Contact Materials (FCM) assessed the safety of the Bandera Twin recycling process (EU register number RECYC341). The input is washed and dried poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) flakes mainly originating from collected post‐consumer PET containers, with no more than 5% PET from non‐food consumer applications.
