Beram je gradić smješten sjeverozapadno od Pazina, a u razdoblju od 17. do 19. stoljeća činio je dio austrijskih posjeda u Istri, unutar tzv. Pazinske knežije. U talijanskim je izvorima zabilježen kao Vermo, a u njemačkim kao Verm (Berm). Camillo De Franceschi smatra da su na beramsko područje 70.-ih godina 16.
