The authors discuss several computational and structural properties of Bézoutian matrices expressed with respect to the Bernstein polynomial basis, which allow the design of fast algorithms for solving Bernstein-Bézoutian linear systems without using (potentially ill-conditioned) reductions to the monomial basis.

Nonparametric estimation of simplified vine copula models: comparison of methods
In the last decade, simplified vine copula models have been an active area of research. They build a high dimensional probability density from the product of marginals densities and bivariate copula densities.

Bernstein components via the Bernstein center [PDF]
Let \(G\) be a reductive \(p\)-adic group and \(\Phi\) an invariant distribution on \(G\) lying in the Bernstein center \(\mathcal{Z}(G)\). This article is devoted to proving that \(\Phi\) defines a constant function on every Bernstein component of the set \(\mathrm{Irr}(G)\) of isomorphism classes of irreducible representations of \(G\) if and only if

Extending stability through hierarchical clusters in Echo State Networks
Echo State Networks (ESN) are reservoir networks that satisfy well-established criteria for stability when constructed as feedforward networks. Recent evidence suggests that stability criteria are altered in the presence of reservoir substructures, such ...

Bernstein-type inequalities [PDF]
Let \(E\subset [-\pi,\pi]\) be compact and symmetric with respect to the origin and let \(\Gamma_E = \{ e^{it}\,| \;t\in E \}\). Denote by \(\omega_{\Gamma_E}\) the equilibrium density of \(\Gamma_E\) on the unit circle \({\mathbb T}\). It is proved that if \(\theta\in E\) is an inner point of \(E\) then for any trigonometric polynomial \(T_n\) of ...
