Climate Risk and Real Estate Markets in the EU: Institutional Control Through Regulation

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Climate change is increasingly reshaping the economic foundations of asset markets, yet its implications for the estate sector remain unevenly understood, particularly when institutional and financial mechanisms mediate risk transmission. While a growing body of evidence links climate vulnerability to property valuation and market behaviour ...

TENSOR PRODUCT q-BERNSTEIN POLYNOMIALS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
An a. ne de Casteljau type algorithm to compute q-Bernstein Bezier curves is introduced and its intermediate points are obtained explicitly in two ways. Furthermore we de.

The SIR Model in a Moving Population: Propagation of Infection and Herd Immunity

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In a collection of particles performing independent random walks on Zd$\mathbb {Z}^d$ we study the spread of an infection with SIR dynamics. Susceptible particles become infected when they meet an infected particle. Infected particles heal and are removed at rate ν$\nu$.

Generalized -Bernstein-Schurer Operators and Some Approximation Theorems

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2013
We study statistical approximation properties of -Bernstein-Shurer operators and establish some direct theorems. Furthermore, we compute error estimation and show graphically the convergence for a function by operators and give its algorithm.

Non-parametric methods for circular-circular and circular-linear [PDF]

open access: yes
We present a non-parametric approach for the estimation of the bivariate distribution of two circular variables and the modelling of the joint distribution of a circular and a linear variable.

Dini bounds for differentiated Bernstein polynomials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The well-known fact that limsup (liminf) of the sequence of Bernstein polynomials of a bounded function is bounded above (below) by the average value of the two upper (lower) limits of the function is supplemented with the following derived version ...

Diversity and Inclusion Standards: Exploring Drivers and Determinants of Adoption of ISO 30415:2021 and UNI/PdR 125:2022 in Italian SMEs

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the adoption of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) standards among Italian small and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs), focusing on the international guideline ISO 30415:2021 and the national certification UNI/PdR 125:2022. Using survey data from 866 SMEs across six manufacturing and service industries and applying descriptive

Shape preserving approximation properties to family of α-Bernstein shifted knot operators

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
The main idea of this paper is to obtain approximation results by utilizing the shifted knots properties of the family of α-Bernstein operators. We examine some basic results and estimate the moments of this new family of α-Bernstein operators. We derive

The geometric mean is a Bernstein function

open access: yes, 2013
In the paper, the authors establish, by using Cauchy integral formula in the theory of complex functions, an integral representation for the geometric mean of $n$ positive numbers. From this integral representation, the geometric mean is proved to be a Bernstein function and a new proof of the well known AG inequality is provided.
