Optical injection and terahertz detection of the macroscopic Berry curvature
We propose an experimental scheme to probe the Berry curvature of solids. Our method is sensitive to arbitrary regions of the Brillouin zone, and employs only basic optical and terahertz techniques to yield a background free signal.

A spin group (SG)‐based mechanism is proposed to realize a single pair of Weyl points. PT‐symmetric nodal lines (NLs) persist under T‐breaking, protected by the combination of SG and P symmetry. When considering spin‐orbit coupling, the SG‐protected NL will split into Weyl points, which will also induce anomalous transport phenomena arising from ...

Bridgehead alkenes are polycyclic molecules bearing at least one C=C bond that includes a bridgehead carbon atom. For small bicyclic systems, these bonds are highly strained due to geometric constraints placed on the sp2 hybridized carbon atoms.

Nontrivial quantized Berry phases for itinerant spin liquids
Quantized Berry phases as local order parameters in t-J models are studied. A texture pattern of the local order parameters is topologically stable due to the quantization of non-Abelian Berry phases defined by low-energy states below a spin gap, which ...

2D Multifunctional Spin‐Orbit Coupled Dirac Nodal Line Materials
A total of 473 nonmagnetic and antiferromagnetic 2D spin‐orbit coupled Dirac nodal line materials are screened, spanning 5 layer groups and 12 magnetic space groups. Furthermore, it integrates their topological properties with electride, multiferroic, and magnetic characteristics, revealing unique systems with expanded functionalities and promising ...

The effects of thumb position on backhand disc golf throws of a mid-range disc
In disc golf, having a comfortable and proper grip on the disc is crucial to achieving optimal throw dynamics, and the placement of the thumb is a key component of the grip.

Reconfigurable Three‐Dimensional Superconducting Nanoarchitectures
3D superconducting nanostructures offer new possibilities for emergent physical phenomena. However, fabricating complex geometries remains challenging. Here 3D nanoprinting of complex 3D superconducting nanoarchitectures is established. As well as propagating superconducting vortices in 3D, anisotropic superconducting properties with geometric ...

Low‐Symmetry Weyl Semimetals: A Path to Ideal Topological States
This study presents a theoretical framework for realizing ideal Weyl semimetals, where Weyl nodes are well‐isolated at the Fermi level. The approach is exemplified in the low‐symmetry material Cu2SnSe3, which exhibits tunable topological phases, current‐induced orbital magnetization, and a strong circular photogalvanic effect, making it a promising ...

Frustrated Alternative Approaches towards the Synthesis of a Thermally Stable 1,2-Diazacyclobutene
We have previously demonstrated that an appropriately substituted four-membered-ring 1,2-diazacyclobutene is a useful compound in organic synthesis for the introduction of strained 1,2-diazetidine rings. In order to further explore the reactivity of this
