A characterization of weak proximal normal structure and best proximity pairs [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to address an open problem given in [Kirk, W. A., Shahzad, Naseer, Normal structure and orbital fixed point conditions, J. Math. Anal. Appl. {\bf{vol 463(2)}}, (2018) 461--476]. We give a characterization of weak proximal normal structure using best proximity pair property.

Existence of Coupled Best Proximity Points of p-Cyclic Contractions
We generalize the notion of coupled fixed (or best proximity) points for cyclic ordered pairs of maps to p-cyclic ordered pairs of maps. We find sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the coupled fixed (or best proximity) points.

On a new variant of F-contractive mappings with application to fractional differential equations
The present article intends to prove the existence of best proximity points (pairs) using the notion of measure of noncompactness. We introduce generalized classes of cyclic (noncyclic) F-contractive operators, and then derive best proximity point (pair)

Existence of best proximity pairs and equilibrium pairs
Using Lassonde's fixed point theorem for Kakutani factorizable multifunctions, the authors prove new existence theorems of best proximity pairs and equilibrium pairs for free abstract economies, which include previous fixed point theorems and equilibrium existence theorems.

Weak proximal normal structure and coincidence quasi-best proximity points
We introduce the notion of pointwise cyclic-noncyclic relatively nonexpansive pairs involving orbits. We study the best proximity point problem for this class of mappings.

Noncyclic contractions and relatively nonexpansive mappings in strictly convex fuzzy metric spaces
A concept of fuzzy projection operator is introduced and use to investigate the non-emptiness of the fuzzy proximal pairs. We then consider the classes of noncyclic contractions and noncyclic relatively nonexpansive mappings and survey the existence of ...
