Antibiofilm, Antimicrobial, and Anti‐inflammatory Potential of Rubus chamaemorus Rhizome, Leaf, and Fruit Extracts

Rhizome, leaf, and fruit extracts of cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus L., Rosaceae) are systematically evaluated for biological activities relevant to wound infections. The methanolic leaf extract exhibits potent antibiofilm and anti‐inflammatory activity without cytotoxicity, whereas rhizome and fruit extracts are largely inactive.

Gonococcal Peritonitis Complicated by Intraperitoneal Abscess and Pleural Empyema: A Case Report

ABSTRACT This report presents a unique case of gonococcal peritonitis complicated by an intraperitoneal abscess and pleural effusion in a 52‐year‐old woman with liver cirrhosis. No bacteriologically confirmed genital infection was identified, and the route of infection could not be established.
