Beta-catenin expression in gastric carcinogenesis

의과학사업단/석사[한글]위암 발생의 분자 유전학적 기전은 아직까지 잘 밝혀져 있지 않으며, 특히 위암 발생과 beta-catenin 유전자 돌연변이와의 관련성에 관하여는 아직 확실하게 정립되어 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 위암의 발생 과정에서 beta-catenin의 역할을 알아보기 위하여 위선종 68예와 위암종 34예에 대하여 파라핀 포매된 조직에서 beta-catenin 및 E-cadherin 발현을 면역 조직화학 방법으로 조사하였다.

Loss of function analysis demonstrated the tumor suppressor-like molecule has a dominant function in fine control of self non-self through activation of tissue-restricted antigens, most likely to restrict metastasis to distant organ sites.
