The torsion cosmology in Kaluza-Klein theory
We have studied the torsion cosmology model in Kaluza-Klein theory. We considered two simple models in which the torsion vectors are $A_{\mu}=(\alpha,0,0,0)$ and $A_{\mu}=a(t)^2(0,\beta,\beta,\beta)$, respectively.

ABSTRACT Background We describe clinical and biologic characteristics of neuroblastoma in older children, adolescents, and young adults (OCAYA); describe survival outcomes in the post‐immunotherapy era; and identify if there is an age cut‐off that best discriminates outcomes.

Age-corrected beta cell mass following onset of type 1 diabetes mellitus correlates with plasma C-peptide in humans. [PDF]
BackgroundThe inability to produce insulin endogenously precipitates the clinical symptoms of type 1 diabetes mellitus. However, the dynamic trajectory of beta cell destruction following onset remains unclear. Using model-based inference, the severity of

ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐

ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

A Characterization of the Domain of Beta-Divergence and Its Connection to Bregman Variational Model
In image and signal processing, the beta-divergence is well known as a similarity measure between two positive objects. However, it is unclear whether or not the distance-like structure of beta-divergence is preserved, if we extend the domain of the beta-

A synthetic model of human beta-thalassemia erythropoiesis using CD34+ cells from healthy adult donors. [PDF]
Based upon the lack of clinical samples available for research in many laboratories worldwide, a significant gap exists between basic and clinical studies of beta-thalassemia major.

A family of anisotropic integral operators and behaviour of its maximal eigenvalue
We study the family of compact integral operators $\mathbf K_\beta$ in $L^2(\mathbb R)$ with the kernel K_\beta(x, y) = \frac{1}{\pi}\frac{1}{1 + (x-y)^2 + \beta^2\Theta(x, y)}, depending on the parameter $\beta >0$, where $\Theta(x, y)$ is a symmetric ...
