Biaxial mechanics of thermally denaturing skin - Part 1: Experiments
Acta Biomaterialia, 2022The mechanics of collagenous soft tissues, such as skin, are sensitive to heat. Thus, quantifying and modeling thermo-mechanical coupling of skin is critical to our understanding of skin's physiology, pathophysiology, and its treatment. However, key gaps persist in our knowledge about skin's coupled thermo-mechanics.

Constitutive Equations Study in Biaxial Stress Experiments
Journal of Engineering Materials and Technology, 1982An experimental study of high temperature creep constitutive equations is reported. The experiments are performed in uniaxial and biaxial (tension-torsion) state of stress. Stress drop experiments starting from a given plastic state (i.e., fixed creep rates, stresses and temperature) lead to the flow rules.
