Influence of bicarbonate and CO2 on rabbit corneal transendothelial bicarbonate fluxes

Abstract Bicarbonate fluxes across the rabbit corneal endothelium have been measured using H 14 CO 3 as a function of ambient concentrations of bicarbonate, CO 2 and pH. The unidirectional and net flux increased between 5 and 45 m m -bicarbonate in an almost linear manner. The unidirectional fluxes increased as a function of the ambient bicarbonate
