Design of a Compact Biconical Antenna Loaded With Magnetic Dipoles
IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2017A novel compact ultrawideband biconical antenna with the impedance bandwidth of 200-965 MHz for VSWR less than 2.35 is proposed. Two metal disks and cylinders are loaded around a traditional biconical antenna, which can form two magnetic dipoles. The broadband impedance matching, miniaturization, and omnidirectional radiation patterns are achieved ...

Design and Modeling of Biconical Dipole for Broad Band Applications
2009 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Control, and Telecommunication Technologies, 2009A simple configuration that can be used to achieve broad band characteristics is the biconical antenna formed by two cones. In this paper the biconical dipole is modeled for examining its general characteristics. The biconical dipole with cone angle 90 degrees and its open wire structure equivalent are modeled by using WIPL - D program.

Ultra-Wideband dielectric rod antenna with biconical dipole and reflector
2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007A directive ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna exhibiting a gain of more than 7 dBi in the whole FCC UWB frequency band is presented. The excitation of the so called dipole mode on the rod is achieved by a biconical dipole. Placing this configuration in some distance to a reflector results in a flat gain curve. Besides an input reflection of -10 dB from 3 up

Design of a broadband biconically offset fed thick dipole
2005 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2005A parametric study of an offset fed thick dipole excited by a biconical feed section is performed in this paper. Modeling results are obtained using Ansoft's High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and the Numerical Electromagnetics Code (NEC). It is desired that the dipole has a 10:1 bandwidth performance with return loss better than 10 dB and ...
