Photochemical rearrangement reactions of bicyclic molecules that contain a cyclopropane ring
New Journal of Chemistry, 2018Our theoretical observations indicate that for [2.1.0], [3.1.0], [4.1.0], and [5.1.0] molecules, the quantum yields of the tautomeric keto forms are larger than those of the corresponding enol isomers.

Flexional Effects in Bridged Bicyclic Molecules Progressive Flattening of Chair Cyclohexane
Helvetica Chimica Acta, 1970AbstractMeasures of the progressive flattening of the chair conformation in a series of constrained cyclohexanols are obtained and compared by proton NMR. coupling constants and by molecular mechanics.

Abstract We report the vibrationally resolved cation spectra of benzimidazole and benzotriazole, which give the respective adiabatic ionization energies (IEs) to be 67552 ± 5 cm −1 and 70474 ± 5 cm −1 . Comparing these data with that of indole, one finds that the IE of these aza-aromatic bicyclic molecules increases with the number of the N atoms ...

Six Peroxide Groups in One Molecule – Synthesis of Nine‐Membered Bicyclic Silyl Peroxides
European Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2014AbstractCompounds containing two nine‐membered peroxide rings bridged by an ethane, ethene, or ethyne group were synthesized by the reactions of 1,2‐bis[dichloro(alkyl)silyl]ethanes, (E)‐1,2‐bis[dichloro(methyl)silyl]ethene, or 1,2‐bis[dichloro(methyl)silyl]ethyne with 1,1′‐dihydroperoxydicycloalkyl peroxides.

The α-1,3-glucosyltransferase WaaG is involved in the synthesis of the core region of lipopolysaccharides in E. coli. A fragment-based screening for inhibitors of the WaaG glycosyltrasferase donor site has been performed using NMR spectroscopy. Docking simulations were performed for three of the compounds of the fragment library that had shown binding ...

Unlike the reaction of aryl-substituted diazenes, pyrolysis of alkyl-substituted diazenes in the presence of molecular oxygen generates an unexpectedly complex product mixture. Using deuterium labeling studies, in conjunction with quantum calculations, a reasonable mechanistic hypothesis for the decomposition of the resultant [3.3.0] peroxide, and ...

We synthesized a new amine-type host molecule 2 by 2 steps, using 1,3,5-tris(aminomethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene and 2,6-pyridinedicarboxaldehyde as starting materials. Recrystallization of 2·6H2O from hot acetonitrile, hot propionitrile and hexane/benzonitrile solutions gave colorless crystals of MeCN@2·MeCN·2H2O, EtCN@2·EtCN, and 8H2O@2·PhCN.
