Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

A Stable Multi-Object Tracking Method for Unstable and Irregular Maritime Environments
In this study, an improved stable multi-object simple online and real-time tracking (StableSORT) algorithm that was specifically designed for maritime environments was proposed to address challenges such as camera instability and irregular object motion.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Big data analytics in returns management – Are complex techniques necessary to forecast consumer returns properly? [PDF]
[EN] The more people shop online, the more consumer returns e-tailers face. In order to plan the returns management process capacity adequately, it is necessary to forecast the expected amount of returned parcels.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
