Electromechanical oscillations in bilayer graphene [PDF]
AbstractNanoelectromechanical systems constitute a class of devices lying at the interface between fundamental research and technological applications. Realizing nanoelectromechanical devices based on novel materials such as graphene allows studying their mechanical and electromechanical characteristics at the nanoscale and addressing fundamental ...

Stacking-dependent band gap and quantum transport in trilayer graphene [PDF]
Graphene is an extraordinary two-dimensional (2D) system with chiral charge carriers and fascinating electronic, mechanical and thermal properties. In multilayer graphene, stacking order provides an important yet rarely explored degree of freedom for ...

The electronic properties of bilayer graphene [PDF]
We review the electronic properties of bilayer graphene, beginning with a description of the tight-binding model of bilayer graphene and the derivation of the effective Hamiltonian describing massive chiral quasiparticles in two parabolic bands at low energy.

Microscopic polarization in bilayer graphene [PDF]
Bilayer graphene has drawn significant attention due to the opening of a band gap in its low energy electronic spectrum, which offers a promising route to electronic applications. The gap can be either tunable through an external electric field or spontaneously formed through an interaction-induced symmetry breaking. Our scanning tunneling measurements

Electron correlations in bilayer graphene [PDF]
The nature of electron correlations in bilayer graphene has been investigated. An analytic expression for the radial distribution function is derived for an ideal electron gas and the corresponding static structure factor is evaluated. We also estimate the interaction energy of this system.

Optical-phonon resonances with saddle-point excitons in twisted-bilayer graphene [PDF]
Twisted-bilayer graphene (tBLG) exhibits van Hove singularities in the density of states that can be tuned by changing the twisting angle θ. A θ-defined tBLG has been produced and characterized with optical reflectivity and resonance Raman scattering ...
