VDLIN: A Deep Learning‐Based Platform for Methylcobalamin‐Inspired Immunomodulatory Compound Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using the convolutional neural network model VDLIN, Co7 is identified as a promising therapeutic candidate. Co7 demonstrates distinct advantages over MCB by effectively balancing anti‐inflammatory and immune‐stimulatory functions, making it a potential novel approach for immune modulation.

Altered density of glomerular binding sites for atrial natriuretic factor in bile duct-ligated rats with ascites [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
The renal response to atrial natriuretic factor is blunted in cirrhosis with ascites. This might be due to alterations of renal receptors for atrial natriuretic factor.

Pre‐Administration of Akkermansia Muciniphila Prevents the Development of Severe Acute Graft‐Versus‐Host Disease in Systemic Organs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Akkermansia muciniphila, a next‐generation probiotic, alleviates acute graft‐versus‐host disease (aGvHD) following allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) by providing protective effects across multiple organs. Pre‐colonization with A.

ApoE promotes hepatic selective uptake but not RCT due to increased ABCA1-mediated cholesterol efflux to plasma

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2012
ApoE plays an important role in lipoprotein metabolism. This study investigated the effects of adenovirus-mediated human apoE overexpression (AdhApoE3) on sterol metabolism and in vivo reverse cholesterol transport (RCT).

Dose-related liver injury of Geniposide associated with the alteration in bile acid synthesis and transportation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Fructus Gardenia (FG), containing the major active constituent Geniposide, is widely used in China for medicinal purposes. Currently, clinical reports of FG toxicity have not been published, however, animal studies have shown FG or Geniposide can cause ...

Bile Acids as Metabolic Regulators and Nutrient Sensors.

open access: yesAnnual review of nutrition, 2019
Bile acids facilitate nutrient absorption and are endogenous ligands for nuclear receptors that regulate lipid and energy metabolism. The brain-gut-liver axis plays an essential role in maintaining overall glucose, bile, and immune homeostasis.

Tailoring Vascular‐Immune Homeostasis via Manganese‐DNA Complex‐Armed Immunogenic Extracellular Vesicles for Pancreatic Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Mn2⁺–tumor DNA complexes encapsulated in dendritic cell (DC)– derived immunogenic extracellular vesicles (EVDC@Mn‐DNA) act as a DC‐specific cGAS– STING activator. EVDC@Mn‐DNA treatment enhances intratumoral DC activation, improves tumor vascular function, promotes CD8⁺ T cell activity, and suppresses pancreatic tumor growth,

Thematic Review Series: Lipid Transfer Proteins ABCG5 and ABCG8: more than a defense against xenosterols

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2018
The elucidation of the molecular basis of the rare disease, sitosterolemia, has revolutionized our mechanistic understanding of how dietary sterols are excreted and how cholesterol is eliminated from the body.

STUDIES ON PLANT BILE PIGMENTS [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
The reaction of bilirubins with aromatic diazonium salts in alcoholic solvents leads to an equimolar mixture of two types of products. One is the well-known 9-azopyrromethenone.

A Randomized, Controlled, Phase 2 Study of Maralixibat in the Treatment of Itching Associated With Primary Biliary Cholangitis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) is typically associated with elevated serum bile acid levels and pruritus, but pruritus is often refractory to treatment with existing therapies.
