Severe Abdominal Aortic Calcification in Pancreaticoduodenectomy: A Vascular Frailty Marker for Selecting Total Pancreatectomy?

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
Severe abdominal aortic calcification on preoperative CT may identify vascular frailty in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy. Integrated with fistula‐risk scores and frailty assessment, it may inform discussion of standard PD versus planned total pancreatectomy in selected high‐risk patients, while AAC alone is not an indication for TP ...

Prenatal imaging phenotypes and outcomes of umbilical‐portal‐systemic venous shunts in singleton and twin pregnancies: A historical cohort study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
This retrospective cohort compared umbilical‐portal‐systemic venous shunts in singleton and twin pregnancies. Type III was the most common subtype in singletons, whereas Type II was the most common in twins. Fetal growth restriction was more frequent in twins, but primary structural anomaly rates were similar.

Meta‐Analysis: Safety and Effectiveness of Advanced Therapies in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Patients With Concomitant Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Advanced IBD therapies appear safe and effective in PSC‐IBD. However remission and response rates appear numerically attenuated compared to IBD‐only populations. Created in BioRender (https://BioRender.com/h9bxgij). ABSTRACT Background Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) associated with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a distinct phenotype (PSC‐IBD)
