Intraductal Tubular Neoplasms of the Bile Ducts
American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 2012Although most tumors of the bile ducts are predominantly invasive, some have an exophytic pattern within the bile ducts; these intraductal papillary neoplasms usually have well-formed papillae at the microscopic level. In this study, however, we describe a novel type of intraductal neoplasm of the bile ducts with a predominantly tubular growth pattern ...

Benign Neoplasms of the Bile Ducts
2020Several classification schemes have been proposed for bile duct neoplasms. The most widely accepted is that of the World Health Organization. Adenocarcinomas, intraductal papillary neoplasms, and mucinous cystic neoplasms constitute about 95% of all intra- and extrahepatic bile duct neoplasms.

Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct – A comprehensive review
Advances in Medical Sciences, 2021Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile ducts is a rare tumor type. Management decisions are currently based upon a small case series. The authors have large own experience with IPNB.The review aims at reporting on clinicopathological features of IPNB in order to provide guidance for management. We searched PubMed, Medline, Microsoft Academic and ...

Morphological classification of intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct [PDF]
To investigate the morphological classification of intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct (IPNB), as well as morphological differences between IPNB without mucin secretion (IPNB-NM) and IPNB with mucin secretion (IPMN-B).Eighty-one patients with IPNB were retrospectively analysed.

Intraductal tubular neoplasm of the common bile duct
Pathology International, 2010Recently, biliary neoplasms resembling intraductal neoplasms of the pancreas have been documented. In this report, a rare case of intraductal tubular neoplasm (ITN) arising in the common bile duct is presented. A polypoid mass, 10 mm in diameter, was found in a 67-year-old woman in the intrapancreatic part of the common bile duct during the follow up ...

Intraductal Tubulopapillary Neoplasm of the Pancreas and Bile Duct
Pancreas, 2020Abstract Intraductal tubulopapillary neoplasms (ITPNs) of the pancreas and bile duct are contemporary entities. It is unclear on how to best manage patients with this diagnosis because little is known about its progression to cancer. This review provides an update on the current knowledge of ITPN of the pancreas and bile duct with an overview

A potential case of intraductal tubulopapillary neoplasms of the bile duct
Pathology International, 2010Intraductal tubulopapillary neoplasm (ITPN) has been recently reported in pancreas. We experienced an unusual intraductal growing bile duct tumor, which showed the same histopathologic and immunostaining profiles as ITPN of pancreas. A 72-year-old female patient visited hospital due to intrahepatic stone.

Neoplasms of Extrahepatic Bile Ducts
2010In order to appreciate the molecular pathology of carcinomas occurring in the extrahepatic bile ducts (EBD), it is important to understand the epidemiology and risk factors for these cancers. A chapter on cholangiocarcinoma with focus on intrahepatic biliary neoplasms is included independently in this textbook ( Chap. 59).
