Knowledge Management in Construction Health and Safety Based on Ontology Modeling
Knowledge management in construction health and safety is an intensive process involving different stakeholders. However, this domain’s information is still fragmented and stored in various disordered formats that require systematic structure for reusing

‘Don’t think that we die from AIDS’: Invisibilised uncertainty and global transgender health
Abstract The invisibilisation of social groups in health research and survey data is a source of medical uncertainty, long seen as a hallmark of the medical field. However, scholarship has not thoroughly assessed how medical uncertainty is structured by state‐level processes and global health agendas, especially for people beyond the Global North. This

Prediction of compressive strength of high-performance concrete using multi-layer perceptron
The correlations between the mechanical properties of HPCs and their mixture compositions are complex, non-linear, and complex to characterize employing standard statistical methods. This paper aimed to estimate HPC’s compressive strength using a machine

FloorPP-Net: Reconstructing Floor Plans using Point Pillars for Scan-to-BIM [PDF]
This paper presents a deep learning-based point cloud processing method named FloorPP-Net for the task of Scan-to-BIM (building information model). FloorPP-Net first converts the input point cloud of a building story into point pillars (PP), then predicts the corners and edges to output the floor plan.

Occupancy Grid Map to Pose Graph-based Map: Robust BIM-based 2D-LiDAR Localization for Lifelong Indoor Navigation in Changing and Dynamic Environments [PDF]
Several studies rely on the de facto standard Adaptive Monte Carlo Localization (AMCL) method to localize a robot in an Occupancy Grid Map (OGM) extracted from a building information model (BIM model). However, most of these studies assume that the BIM model precisely represents the real world, which is rarely true.

CBIM: object-level cloud collaboration platform for supporting across-domain asynchronous design [PDF]
The conventional approach of designing BIM projects requires packaging of building information as files to exchange designs. This study develops a series of components to implement a previously established Cloud BIM (CBIM) platform that facilitates fileless cloud collaboration across BIM disciplines. A CBIM connector was developed to synchronize design
