BIM Innovation Capability Programme: an Irish BIM Study

open access: yes, 2016
In 2011 the Royal Institute of Architects Ireland (RIAI) conducted a survey which found that BIM adoption within Ireland was quite low at 16%. Over the last five years these figures have risen significantly, with the 2016 Irish Digital Transition Survey reporting that 76% of respondents possess confidence in their organisation’s BIM skills and ...

BIM FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2013
Abstract. When you think about the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Industry people tend to refers to new buildings, but nowadays the recovery of existing ones is increasingly the subject of the research. The current historical context raises this issue at the center of numerous thought due both to economic and environmental conditions.

Drug Screening of Primary Human Endometriotic Cells Based on Micro‐Encapsulating Microfluidic Chip

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To address the challenges of unclear mechanisms and poor therapeutic efficacy in endometriosis (EMs), this study develops a microfluidic chip platform integrated with primary cell‐laden microcapsules. Gradient drug screening reveals individualized treatment response variations among patients and their correlation with clinical outcomes.

7‐Epitaxol induces apoptosis in cisplatin‐resistant head and neck squamous cell carcinoma via suppression of AKT and MAPK signalling

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 26, Issue 23, Page 5807-5819, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is the sixth most common cancer worldwide. Although cisplatin‐based chemotherapy is commonly used in HNSCC, frequent development of cisplatin resistance is a potential cause of poor HNSCC prognosis.

The Roots of Bim [PDF]

open access: yesMűszaki Tudományos Közlemények, 2020
AbstractToday’s architectural and civil engineering design is almost inconceivable without collaborative tools. Building Information Modeling supports this with a set of collaboratively usable data. The roots of this concept go back in the past, thus the present paper attempts to depict some of the milestones in its evolution.

Marine biomass for a circular blue‐green bioeconomy? A life cycle perspective on closing nitrogen and phosphorus land‐marine loops

open access: yesJournal of Industrial Ecology, Volume 26, Issue 6, Page 2136-2153, December 2022., 2022
Abstract A blue‐green bioeconomy revolution is underway in Europe, with particular attention being paid to the development of new or underutilized marine biomass resources. The wild harvest and mariculture of low‐trophic non‐fed species of marine biomass may be contributing to circular economies, the mitigation of environmental problems such as ...
