Visual Binaries in the Orion Nebula Cluster [PDF]
We have carried out a major survey for visual binaries towards the Orion Nebula Cluster using HST images obtained with an H-alpha filter. Among 781 likely ONC members more than 60" from theta-1 Ori C, we find 78 multiple systems (75 binaries and 3 triples), of which 55 are new discoveries, in the range from 0.1" to 1.5".

The Census of Exoplanets in Visual Binaries: Population Trends from a Volume-Limited Gaia DR2 and Literature Search [PDF]
We present results from an extensive search in the literature and Gaia DR2 for visual co-moving binary companions to stars hosting exoplanets and brown dwarfs within 200 pc.

Spatially resolved spectroscopy of close massive visual binaries with HST/STIS [PDF]
Context. The spectroscopic characterization of many O-type stars is hampered by a nearby companion. Aims. We want to obtain spatially resolved spectroscopy of close O-type visual binaries to derive their spectral types. Methods.

Visual binaries among high-mass stars [PDF]
We have searched for visual binaries with projected separations in the range 200{3000 AU (0: 1{1: 5) among a sample of 96 stars in the massive young NGC 6611 cluster, 60 of them being subsequently identied as high probability cluster members of mainly OB

Deep Binaries: Encoding Semantic-Rich Cues for Efficient Textual-Visual Cross Retrieval [PDF]
Cross-modal hashing is usually regarded as an effective technique for large-scale textual-visual cross retrieval, where data from different modalities are mapped into a shared Hamming space for matching.

The distribution of visual binaries with two bright components
Among the 4908 stellar systems which have at least one resolvable component brighter than V = 6.00 are 115 systems with two or more resolvable components both brighter than V = 6.00.

Visual binary stars with known orbits in Gaia EDR3 [PDF]
3350 objects from the Sixth catalog of orbits of visual binary stars (ORB6) are investigated to validate Gaia EDR3 parallaxes and provide mass estimates for the systems.

A VLT/NACO survey for triple and quadruple systems among visual pre-main sequence binaries [PDF]
Aims. This paper describes a systematic search for high-order multiplicity among wide visual Pre-Main Sequence (PMS) binaries. Methods. We conducted an Adaptive Optics survey of a sample of 58 PMS wide binaries from various star-forming regions, which ...

The mass ratio distribution of B-type visual binaries in the Sco OB2 association [PDF]
A sample of 115 B-type stars in the Sco OB2 association is examined for existence of visual companions in the J and K s bands, using the ADONIS near-infrared adaptive optics system and coronograph.

Visual Orbits and Alignments of Planet-hosting Binary Systems
Roughly half of Solar-type planet hosts have stellar companions, so understanding how these binary companions affect the formation and evolution of planets is an important component to understanding planetary systems overall.
