A novel three‐terminal PeLET device vertically integrated through a permeable electrode expands additional functionality beyond conventional two‐terminal devices. the specific mechanism is elucidated of E‐field penetration from the integrated capacitor unit to the LED via transient electroluminescence measurements. The PeLET device enables dual‐channel

An expressive hybrid model for the composition of cardinal directions [PDF]
In our previous paper (Kor and Bennett, 2003), we have shown how the nine tiles in the projection-based model for cardinal directions can be partitioned into sets based on horizontal and vertical constraints (called Horizontal and Vertical Constraints ...

Here, recent progress is highlighted in colloidal magnetoplasmonic hybrid nanomaterials, with a focus on chiral plasmonics. Metal nanocrystals with intrinsic chiroptical features can lead to a combination of chiral plasmonics and magneto‐optics effects when interacting with the magnetic counterpart, offering a foundation for systematically designing ...

Let \(X\) and \(Y\) be finite sets. A relation \(\alpha\) between \(X\) and \(Y\) is any subset of \(X\times Y\) and, when convenient, it will be identified with a Boolean matrix in the usual manner. A relation between \(X\) and \(X\) will be referred to as a relation on \(X\).

The Surface Brightness-color Relations Based on Eclipsing Binary Stars: Toward Precision Better than 1% in Angular Diameter Predictions [PDF]
In this study we investigate the calibration of surface brightness–color (SBC) relations based solely on eclipsing binary stars. We selected a sample of 35 detached eclipsing binaries with trigonometric parallaxes from Gaia DR1 or Hipparcos whose ...

Feed-Forward Neural Networks Need Inductive Bias to Learn Equality Relations [PDF]
Basic binary relations such as equality and inequality are fundamental to relational data structures. Neural networks should learn such relations and generalise to new unseen data.

Nanoimprinting of Mesoporous Titania: Direct Patterning and Refractive Index Control in the Visible
Nanoimprinted mesoporous TiO₂ (pTiO₂) films are demonstrated as high‐resolution optical materials with tunable porosity, refractive index, and mechanical response. Sub‐micron patterning of planar optics is shown alongside a refractive index contrast Δn ≈0.7.

Binary Relations as a Foundation of Mathematics [PDF]
We describe a theory for binary relations in the Zermelo-Fraenkel style. We choose for ZFCU, a variant of ZFC Set theory in which the Axiom of Foundation is replaced by an axiom allowing for non-wellfounded sets.

Coherent Control of Thermal Radiation with Nanophotonics
This review explores the innovative control of thermal radiation coherence using nanophotonic structures. The fundamentals of thermal radiation, coherence control strategies (temporal, spatial, and polarization), and their applications in infrared sensing, radiative cooling, thermal camouflage, and imaging, are discussed.
